Recess Time!

Even though it is cold outside, the kids still look forward to recess and enjoy it just as much!

Reading Time

When the kids get done with work, they get to get a book from either the library cart or library bucket to look at or even read until we move onto something else.  They are really enjoying this time right now.  They are finding popcorn words in the books, reading to each other, and even making up their own stories with the books.  This is a great time for them to explore the world of reading even more!
Here is a little girl really into her book.
Here is one of the girls practicing to be a teacher when she grows up.  The three boys are really listening to her story!
This little girl is reading about things we are thankful for.
Here is one little girl reading to another.

Goodbye to Friends

As everyone knows, we are adding another section of Kindergarten starting on Monday, November 17th.  We will be saying goodbye to six of our friends that will be moving to Mrs. Woolston's class starting on Monday.  It has been great having each and every one of them in class.  Each child brings a very special aspect to our classroom and will be missed greatly.  We will get to see our friends at recess, lunch, and  be back together for Art, Music, and P.E.
Although this is a sad time for us it is also going to be a very positive move for every student.  The class sizes will be reduced from 25 or 26 to 19 or 20 students in each.  The kids will be able to have more one on one attention and work in smaller groups.  We wish the best of luck to our six friends that will be moving to Room #4 with Mrs. Woolston!
