Reminder

I sent this home in the newsletter but I wanted to remind everyone to remind their student that I will not be at school of Thursday, January 22.  Mrs. Morgan will be there substitute.  She has subbed for the class before so they should do wonderful with her!

Popcorn and a Movie Party

The students have been working all year to fill their marble jar to earn their popcorn and a movie party.  Well, they finally completely filled the jar the week we came back from Winter Break.  We had our party on Thursday and had a great time.  I brought popcorn for them and we watch Monsters Inc. on our big projector.  They said they wanted to try to earn another party by the end of the school year.  They are off to a great start!

Library and Class Time

I apologize for not posting for such a long time.  We have been working on getting back into the routine after the holiday.  The kids have done a great job getting back into the routine.

When the kids get done with work, they have the option of practicing their writing on a write and wipe board.  We are really working on writing.  Here is one of the little girls writing her words of the week.

Every Tuesday, our class goes to the library.  The kids look forward to this every week.  They are read a book or two by the librarian and then are able to check out a new library book if they returned their book from the previous week.  The kids are able to check out a new book on a daily basis if they would like to.
