Well today was our trip to Johnson Pumpkin Farms but unfortunately it started raining when we were leaving. We thought it would pass but it didn't. It just started raining harder. We were not able to take our hayride or see the animals but they did enjoy a talk with Farmer Jean about pumpkins and enjoyed finding a pumpkin of their own to take home. The teachers and Farmer Jean hid pumpkins for the students to find. For the time that we were able to be there the kids really had a good time.
When we got back from the pumpkin patch, the whole kindergarten came into our room and we all watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." They had a great time today and I am so proud of them for handling the sudden change of plans so well.
We did find out that the people of Johnson Pumpkin Farms are going to come out to our school sometime next week or the following to do an activity and little presentation with our kids since our trip was cut short. The kids are excited for them to come to the school!
